2010 Art Show
The Gunter Elementary Art Show was a huge success. Thank you to all of the volunteers, judges and artists. We were very impressed and proud of our talented, young artists! Thanks to Kris Roberts, Jodie Boggess and Sandy DeTarville for serving as our judges. The Gunter Elementary PTO looks forward to hosting this annual event next year and creating new memories.
This year we stepped up the prizes and decided to give more to the winners than just ribbons. 1st place winners for each grade received a $70 gift certificate to Kids & Art. Each 2nd & 3rd place winners received a 2010 Art Show T-shirt. Congratulations to all of the winners and participants.
Our 2010 winning artists were the following:
Viewer's Choice: Aidan McDowell (Up) & Neelie Parker (Fly Me Away)
Pre-K: 1st place - Adam Ray Reed (Starry Night); 2nd place - Trent Carr (Trent at the Fields); 3rd place - Kamber Puebla (A Surprise)
Kindergarten: 1st place - Micah Novil (Duck Soup); 2nd place - Sofia Siciliano (Summer); 3rd place - Lillie Matiko ("The Eye")
1st grade: 1st place - Jake Seiberling (Statue of Liberty); 2nd place -Sam Erwin (Famous Volcano); 3rd place - Matthew Averdano (The Exploding Lava)
2nd grade: 1st place - Tristan Edwards (Down at the Farm); 2nd place - Siena Siciliano (Princess Sally & Her Three Wishes); 3rd place - Noel Cannaday (Army Tank)
3rd grade: 1st place - Karissa Pelfrey (The Snowy Fox); 2nd place - Mariah Hall (Check out the Cheetah); 3rd place - Chloe Walton (Glitterific)
4th grade: 1st place - Eliza Allen (Panda); 2nd place - Aubrey Edwards (Sunrise at the Beach); 3rd place -Adrien Martinez (Baby Taz)
